Take this review with a grain of salt: I got bored a little after defeating the Big Fry in Pilgramige and quit. Pretty cool! The game doesn't have much to differentiate itself from other RPGs: most of Coinnin's comments about battle apply here. The big sprites in battle are cool and interesting, with plenty of personality. The biggest problem for me was that I wasn't ever really thinking or planning what I was doing, I was just reacting with healing or mp-restoring skills or items or attacking. That problem is compounded by the fact grinding was nessecary to be able to defeat the Big Fry, at least for me, and that battles started feeling drawn-out to me, The game definitely has potential, and I had plenty of fun playing it, but future games of yours could probably use a little more spice, like more unique locations or enemies.

Thanks for the comment. I think I understand what you're saying, there's a lot of press A to attack scenarios. I'll have to see what I can come up with. As for spice, I'm already thinking of more things to add. There will be a lot more areas to explore in the final game, but I'll make sure to sprinkle in more things for players to do in each area. Thanks for the suggestions and thanks for playing my demo!

Nice pixel art! I can definitely see potential here, but the jump feels way too stiff for my liking. Also, why is the jump mapped to left click by default? I only have a mousepad, and it feels really weird to execute a jump with it. The fact that you can't remap controls only adds insult to injury. I would recommend checking out LeviRamirez's Gappy trilogy (1, 2, and 3: Gappy's playground doesn't have the same style of gameplay) or Bird Tapper vs. The Purple Platoon for examples of this concept with much better execution. Please keep at it, though, this looks really good so far! Edit: The short jump isn't too much of a problem on its own, but the levels are designed so you have to make almost pixel-perfect jumps. It's kind of a pain for me, but it's possible I'm just bad at the game. The Gappy games are really good examples of this concept worth studying, though, and I do like this game how it its, despite its flaws.

Thanks for the feedback.
The games you posted have a way too floaty jump, not my taste.
I tried to have the ability to rebind the mouse click to another key, but I'm new to game development and couldn't get it to work.
